North East gets £3.85m to tackle youth crime


A £3.85m anti-yobs fund has been allocated to the North East.

The cash will be used to tackle youth crime and help clear-up antisocial behaviour and is part of the Government’s £100m Youth Crime Action Plan (YCAP).

Funds have also been earmarked to make schools and communities safer and provide support for young people and families who want to turn their lives around.
